Mokate with the Silesia Food Bank

The Mokate Group has started cooperation with the Silesia Food Bank. Through this cooperation it will help around 50,000 people who live in Silesia and need support.

- Many companies regularly cooperate with our organisation, but so far there has been no company like Mokate among them - a food brand well known and liked by Poles. We are all the more happy that, together with Mokate, a family-owned business, we will be able to open another chapter in the history of the Silesia Food Bank and, above all, expand the scope of assistance provided to the poorest people and families - adds Jan Szczesniewski, President of the Management Board of Silesia Food Bank.

The Mokate Group consists of several companies operating in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, Great Britain, South Africa and Dubai, which export their products to almost all the countries in the world. The company has three production plants - in Ustroń, Żory and Votice in the Czech Republic. Seventy percent of revenues come from foreign markets. The company employs approximately 1,400 people around the world. Mokate's best-known brands include: LOYD, Mokate, NYcoffee, Minutka, Marilla, Marizzi, Alpino and Babcia Jagoda.

- Mokate is a Polish family-owned business which has been associated with Silesia from the very start. Therefore, the well-being of this region and the people living here are particularly important for us. The work carried out by Silesia Food Bank fits in very well with our values, which are part of our corporate social responsibility policy. We are glad that our initiative met with a positive response from the Bank - explains Paweł Sikora, Group PR Manager Mokate.

The Silesia Food Bank was established in 2001. It has the status of a Non-Profit Public Benefit Organisation - KRS 0000058731. Since 2005, it has been a member of the Federation of Polish Food Banks.
